"A GREAT SUCCESS"
  The Emirates Open Golf Tournament held on Saturday the 25th November at Aphrodite Hills Golf was a huge success with sold-out entries and a long waiting list of eager golfers who were hoping to get in at last minute in case of any cancellations. 120 golfers competed in the tournament trying to win the prize of two return flight tickets to Dubai. The overall winner was Mr. Paul James. “It was a very close game with three players that tied for first place with 34 points each, but after count-back on the back 9 holes, only one lucky golfer could take the big prize home,” said Andrew Darker, operations manager at Aphrodite Hills Golf. The other mens’ division winners were: Stuart Mactavish and David Shepard. The winners of the ladies’ division were: Liz Harvey, Carola Kolb, and Maureen Holland. “It was another beautiful day and the golf course was in top condition,” said Peter Bradburn, golf course superintendent. Emirates Airline sponsors golf tournaments all over the world and its services reach more than 70 cities in 52 countries in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Indian Sub-Continent and Asia-Pacific and North America. Emirates flights Larnaca-Dubai five times a week. |
